Wakeful Nights

Took the kids to Sub-Zero Ice Cream last night. It was late, 8:30, and we were just going to go in, eat our ice cream and go home and go to bed. Isn't it strange when things don't go the way you planned.
I was about to order and I looked down and Zeke is sitting in a puddle of vomit. There were only two people working at the place of business, they offered a rag and a bucket and the rest was up to me. I got it and me and Zeke completely cleaned up about 30 minutes later, while other customers are walking around me and the mess and putting in their orders.
When I'm done cleaning up I stand in line. A family of 4 and a couple are in front of me and a couple walks in the door behind me. But for some odd reason they think they get to go ahead of me and they step up and put in their order. I wait patiently. We finally get our ice cream but because Zeke stinks so bad and ice cream doesn't go good with the smell of vomit, we tell the kids to grab their bowls and let's go home so we can bathe Zeke.
He's bathed in bed along with the other kids. Scott and I go to bed also. Midnight rolls around and Kiernan comes in and tells us that Zeke threw up again. So I go clean that up and put Zeke back to bed and Scott reads to him for awhile. About 12:30 and Zeke comes into our room whining. He wants to sleep with us. We have a rule that the kids can't sleep in bed with us, so I put him on the floor with a pillow and blanket. From then until about 5:00am, Zeke wakes up about every 10-15 minutes asking for a drink.
Now, I'm at work trying desperately not to fall asleep on my keyboardlslhag;kjh;kjaf h ;khgaksfhkj;agh;kdfg...................................
